Israeli-Bavarian cooperation: Nano Dimension founds the J.A.M.E.S joint venture with Hensoldt AG in Taufkirchen

J.A.M.E.S stands for Jetted Additively Manufactured Electronic Sources and will focus on building a digital 3D printing platform. The aim is to develop 3D-printed electronic components – a classic example of cross-industry innovation. Initially, ten new jobs will be created at the new location.

Nano Dimension is an innovative Israeli company in the field of additive manufacturing and manufactures machines for Additively Manufactured Electronics, AME for short, and produces 3D-printed electronics using multi-jet processes. Bavarian Hensoldt AG is active in the field of defence and security electronics and invests in basic research for digital 3D printing of electronic components. The two companies have been collaborating since 2018, bringing together Israeli innovation and Bavarian engineering tradition.

Focus on new product development

J.A.M.E.S is aimed at international electronics designers and offers a platform for the creation of AME designs and the development of new products. The aim is to promote the development of 3D-printed electronic components. Ten new innovative jobs will be created for the Taufkirchen site, and rapid expansion is planned.

Ceremonial opening of the new location in Taufkirchen: Andreas Müller, CEO J.A.M.E.S; Celia Pelaz, Chief of Strategy Officer HENSOLDT AG; Dr. Ulrike Wolf, Ministerial Director at the Bavarian State Ministry of Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy; Amit Dror, Co-Founder & CSO Nano Dimension (from left)

According to the managing director of J.A.M.E.S, Andreas Müller, the decision to locate in Bavaria was made because the Munich metropolitan region has become one of the most interesting places for tech start-ups in Europe in recent years. Furthermore, Bavaria has recognised that start-ups are of great importance for the general economic success of the state and therefore offers a very start-up-friendly environment.

“This in combination with our shareholder HENSOLDT AG, which is located in Taufkirchen at the Ludwig-Bölkow Campus, gives J.A.M.E.S a huge advantage in building a large network. The advantages of Israeli-Bavarian cooperation lie in the combination of two completely different cultures that both have their individual strengths. While the Israeli start-up mentality forces J.A.M.E.S to act very quickly and agilely, the German-Bavarian mentality helps us to structure this pace”
– Andreas Müller, Managing Director of J.A.M.E.S

Invest in Bavaria wishes the joint venture J.A.M.E.S all the best – Servus in Bayern and Mazel Tov on the new, exciting cooperation between Nano Dimension and Hensoldt AG.
