Economic relations between France and Bavaria: Munich becomes French Tech Hub

The big news is out: Munich becomes French Tech Hub! The dynamic Franco-Bavarian innovation ecosystem receives this particular label from the French government. La French Tech Munich will become a pillar point for the Franco-Bavarian ecosystem and play an important role in enabling any entrepreneur to launch and internationalise in France as well as in Germany and more particularly in Bavaria.

On Wednesday April 21, the French Secretary of State for digitization, Cédric O, announced the labelization of nine new “Communautés French Tech” in France and worldwide. New communities are selected based on their credibility, impact on the French Tech strategy and the strengths of the application. Under the French Tech banner, the French government wishes to bring together and federate the entire community of French start-ups. One of the objectives is to encourage exchanges between start-ups, investors, employees and other stakeholders, launch kits to help them in their efforts and deploy tools to encourage their development.

La French Tech Munich aims to promote and support go-to-marketing strategies for French start-ups in Bavaria and vice versa. Scale-ups from Bavaria and France like Malt, October, Praxedo and Flixbus but also corporates like Atos, Alten, Big Mamma and Dassault Systèmes already take part.
