In the style of a funfair, including the sweet smell of roasted almonds, this year´s BayChi Summit took place on 17th of October 2019. It was the fifth edition of the event for managing directors of Chinese companies.

Organized by Invest in Bavaria, in cooperation with the Chinese Consulate General Munich, the City of Munich and the Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Germany, the BayChi Summit is a traditional part of the annual calendar of the Chinese business community in Germany.

The event was opened with a podium discussion, moderated by Svetlana Huber, Head of Investor Services at Invest in Bavaria, with guests Clemens Baumgärtner, Minister of Labor and Economics of the City of Munich, Yoggui Pei, Economic Consul of the People´s Republic of China in Munich and Wie Duan Chief executive of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Germany.

The highlight of the event was the presentation of the Newcomer Award 2019, awarded by Dr. Wolfgang Hübschle, Head of Invest in Bavaria.
