The Future Of Mobility - How German Design Will Move Us
Design - beyond mere aesthetics - is an enabler of innovative ideas and a provider of solutions for the challenges of our time. Globalization and urbanization keep creating the need for efficient and sustainable mobility concepts. The German American Chamber of Commerce together with the Goethe-Institut will tackle the question of how design can help to meet the global challenges of our society and how German Design specifically can contribute. From current trends in mobility solutions to the impact on human behavior, from electrical cars to e-bikes, to airplanes, this half-day conference will feature German and American design experts who will introduce their ideas and applications. A prominent example will be the BMW i3 with eDrive, a sustainable vehicle designed for urban areas which is driven purely by electric power to meet the demands of sustainable and emission-free mobility. Meet and mingle with the renowned designers at a special networking reception after the program.
We welcome you to contact us to arrange a meeting at the conference with our Executive Director Dr. Lucie E. Merkle.
