Vice Minister of Economic Affairs Franz Josef Pschierer travels to Quebec today

Pschierer: “Bavaria and Québec are among the global leaders in the aerospace and entertainment industries”

MUNICH/QUEBEC   Bavaria's Vice Minister of Economic Affairs Franz Josef Pschierer leaves today to start a three-day delegation to Québec. Pschierer: “We want to further intensify the relationships and existing contacts between Bavaria and Québec in the areas of aerospace and audiovisual media. There is considerable potential for cooperation, especially in the high-tech sector.”

The more than 40-strong business and science delegation comprises, among others, companies and professors from Bavarian universities. Pschierer: “We want to further expand the strengths of Bavaria and Québec, particularly in the aerospace and interactive entertainment industries. I am convinced that many new cooperation options will arise.”

The travel schedule includes, for example, a workshop with companies and scientists active in the aerospace sector. Furthermore, the delegation will visit renowned Montréal-based companies active in the aerospace and entertainment industries, such as Bombardier Aerospace and CAE, Frima, 4 u 2 c and Warner Bros.

Bavaria and Québec have been maintaining a dynamic partnership since 1989, in which more than 600 projects have been successfully implemented. Pschierer: “I am very pleased that the partnership between Bavaria and Québec is so full of life. The network between both partners has been growing continuously over the last 25 years. Our representative offices abroad are a particularly valuable option for our companies. They are available as the first local port of call and assist in establishing contacts.”
