Niggl: The excellent trade location of Nuremberg impresses yet another foreign company.

NUREMBERG   MATPLAST GmbH, the Polish producer of plastic windows, doors, aluminium constructions and external roller blinds, is opening an office in Nuremberg and will start doing business from there in early June 2013. MATPLAST GmbH will use its new office in Nuremberg to expand and develop its activities on the German market and to provide a customer-orientated installation service. An expansion of the site to provide installation and storage is also planned for the medium term.

Johann Niggl, Head of Invest in Bavaria, Business Promotion Agency of the Free State of Bavaria, welcomes this decision: "MATPLAST's arrival here shows once again that Bavaria also offers attractive business opportunities in traditional sectors. With 5,900 trade companies employing 44,000 people, Nuremberg is an economic area with huge potential. I am particularly pleased that the offer of the Business Support Center Nuremberg-Fürth for Excellence was a convincing factor for MATPLAST, and wish the company every success as they begin their activities here," says Niggl.

Artur Kolodziej, Managing Director of MATPLAST, confirms how attractive the location is: "The quality of our products is driving demand considerably, especially on the German market. The key factor in our choosing Bavaria is its convenient location: the site is just 500 kilometres away from our plant in Poland; a clear advantage in terms of both costs and delivery times. Bavaria's good economic situation was also crucial for us, as we see great development opportunities for our company here. We hope that our move to Nuremberg, one of the largest and strongest cities in Bavaria, will allow us to quickly build up a network of business contacts and to expand this across Germany thanks to the city's central location."

Founded in 1998 in Nowa Ruda, Poland, MATPLAST has many years of experience and a leading market position in Lower Silesia. The plant in Nowa Ruda was expanded significantly in 2005 and has since then played a greater role in serving German demand. Source: Invest in Bavaria
