The export engine, Bavaria - Fit for Partnership enters the next phase
MUNICH The “Bavaria – Fit for Partnership” (BFP) programme for 2018 is available from today: eleven delegations from Eastern Europe and North Africa will meet at Bavarian companies and obtain information about Bavarian technologies and innovations during visits and in-house trade shows. Bavaria’s State Secretary of Economics Franz Josef Pschierer: “We’re bringing foreign delegations to Bavarian companies and simply opening the door to export business with this programme. The summary of last year’s projects is successful: 151 guests from abroad met at almost 175 companies and institutions involved throughout Bavaria on projects over the last few months. Almost 80 percent of the participants surveyed stated that they found the solution to their problem in Bavaria. Through “Fit for Partnership”, roughly three quarters of the participants were able to develop direct business relationships with Bavarian companies."
Delegations from Georgia, Estonia, Morocco and the Czech Republic, among others, are coming to Bavaria next year for various themes such as medical technology, smart city and food. Bavarian companies show their entire range of products and services at their own businesses or at collaborative events and can therefore establish valuable contacts with international decision makers.
Pschierer continues: “Both sides benefit from the programme. Delegations from abroad get an insight into the practice and technologies at Bavarian businesses. The focus is on industry-specific solutions. At the same time, Bavarian companies get direct access to good-quality contacts and decision makers. As a result, “Bavaria - Fit for Partnership” is bringing export markets to us.”
It is free for Bavarian companies to participate in the programme in the form of professional lectures, factory tours or individual meetings. In addition, they can get actively involved in organising the programme. “Bavaria – Fit for Partnership” is an international further education programme initiated and financed by the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs. Bayern International, the company that promotes Bavaria as an attractive business location, is responsible for the organisation. You can find more information at www.bayern-international.de/bfp. Details will be published soon regarding the projects for 2018.
