Aiwanger: "Bavaria is introducing navigators – for more transparency in the funding jungle”

MUNICH   After a careful process of restructuring the technology funding programmes, Bavaria is introducing funding navigators together with new guidelines. Bavaria's Minister of Economic Affairs Hubert Aiwanger: "Many companies have long since lost their track in the funding jungle and don’t even know what funding is available, for example, in the field of technology. They can miss out on a lot of money as a result. We want to change this and provide more transparency. This is why we are using funding navigators as support."

Funding navigators will be the standardised point of contact for companies and scientific institutions interested in funding in future. As an expert, the funding guide provides information on the entire spectrum of technology funding programmes available at EU, federal and state level and coordinates enquiries regarding Bavarian technology funding programmes. Inexperienced interested parties receive transparent and easy access to funding applications as a result. The funding navigators also accept project ideas themselves and arrange their allocation to the "right" funding lines and project sponsors. Existing access to the project sponsors can still be used directly.

The funding navigators are based with the project sponsor Bavaria under the umbrella of Bayern Innovativ Gesellschaft für Technologietransfer mbH and are available for consultation and individual enquiries with immediate effect on 0800/0268724 as well as at www.bayern-innovativ.de/seite/projekttraeger-bayern.
