Hübschle: “Welcome to Bavaria – the ideal base for European business.”
MUNICH Benefit One, a specialised service company from Japan, is starting its European expansion in Bavaria. Since February 2015, Benefit One has been represented in Munich with Benefit One Deutschland GmbH, in addition to its site in the USA. Founded in 1996 and headquartered in Shibuyaku, the company offers an incentive programme intended to motivate its employees to greater dedication in the long term. Part of the company budget is converted into a corporate currency, known as “incentive points”. Employees are rewarded in this currency based on their performance. The incentive points can be exchanged for a choice of rewards at any time. The concept is implemented successfully by many Japanese companies and government organisations on the local market. The company is a leader in Japan with its network and the services it offers. From Munich, Benefit One plans to serve the German and European markets. “Choosing Munich as location was perfect for Benefit One. Munich is known for its cultural diversity. That is why we want to offer our customers our concept from here. The active support both from Invest in Bavaria locally and from the Bavarian representative office in Japan were also decisive factors in the choice of location,” says Atsushi Yasuda, Managing Director of Benefit One Deutschland GmbH. Dr Wolfgang Hübschle, Head of Invest in Bavaria, the business promotion agency of the State of Bavaria, welcomes the company warmly to the state. “Benefit One is an example of Bavaria as a strong industrial location, attracting modern service companies from all over the world. Invest in Bavaria wishes all the company's staff a successful start and hopes that business will be good for them here!” Home to around 440 Japanese companies, Bavaria is something of a Japanese heartland in Germany. The Japanese community is the second largest in Germany. Around 5,900 Japanese people currently live in Bavaria, 3,000 of them in Munich.
