Aigner: "Bavaria is Germany's leading location for toy manufacturing"
MUNICH   Deutscher Verband der Spielwarenindustrie e.V. (DVSI, German Council of the Toy Industry) will be moving to Nuremberg on 1st January 2015. Bavaria's Minister of Economic Affairs, Ilse Aigner, welcomes the decision: "Bavaria is Germany's leading location for toy manufacturing. 45.8% of those working in the toy industry are employed in Bavaria. Around a third of German sales in the sector are generated here. It therefore makes perfect sense for the DVSI to move to the heart of Franconia – the toy region." On a tour of the world's largest toy trade fair in Nuremberg on Saturday, Aigner will hold talks with both DVSI CEO Ulrich Brobeil and renowned Bavarian manufacturers such as geobra Brandstätter (Playmobil), Simba Dickie, HABA Habermaaß, Selecta Spielzeug and Heunec Plüschspielwaren.
