Bavaria’s Minister of Economic Affairs on Söder’s government statement
MUNICH°° Bavaria’s Minister President Dr Markus Söder announces in his government statement in the Landtag that two billion euros is being invested in a research and high-tech offensive.
Aiwanger: “I am totally committed to getting the Bavarian economy fit for the future. The Ministry of Economic Affairs is now receiving important financial resources to boost SMEs and high-tech even more. From the digital bonus to the expansion of mobile communications, hydrogen, artificial intelligence and the further development of the automotive industry.”
One of the main drivers of the high-tech agenda in Bavaria will be the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs alongside the Ministry of Science. The programme provides 400 million euros just for an SME offensive with the topics digital funds, start-up funds and automobile funds. Likewise, there are funds for artificial intelligence, hydrogen and mobile communications.
Aiwanger: “The Bavarian high-tech agenda will trigger a dynamic boost for the Bavarian economy. Therefore, it is extending its lead in terms of competitiveness even further.”
