Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs calls for the submission of project proposals for the initiative “ Artificial Intelligence - Autonomous Mobility”
MUNICH The Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs is calling for companies of all size classes and research institutions to submit project proposals for the initiative Artificial Intelligence – Autonomous Mobility by 15 September. Up to six million euros are available as subsidies for innovative research and development projects. Expenditures are subsidised in the framework of pre-competitive joint projects which drive forward digitalisation in Bavaria and for coping with future social challenges. The aim is to develop innovative concepts for the user industries through cooperation between partners from business and research institutions. “We support projects in the fields of artificial intelligence and data science applications in the area of mobility, logistics and industrial application, which include essential innovations in the field of Artificial Intelligence – Autonomous Mobility”, says Bavaria’s Economics Minister Franz Josef Pschierer.
The Minister continues: “Autonomous mobility concepts are increasingly gaining importance in all areas of passenger and goods traffic. We are striving for technological leadership in autonomous mobility through artificial intelligence.”
The initiative is part of the master plan Bayern Digital II. In this framework, the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs will be supporting joint projects of business and science with a total of approx. 250 million euros in the coming four years. This is intended to support the future-oriented digitalisation of Bavarian companies and to further expand the leading role of Bavaria as a site for technology.
