Business promotion agency Invest in Bavaria supported 76 projects throughout Bavaria last year
MUNICH The Bavarian business promotion agency “Invest in Bavaria” successfully supported a total of 76 projects in 2022, 65 of which involved new establishments, and thus once again made a valuable contribution to Bavaria’s economic success. Throughout Bavaria, at least 1,486 new jobs were created as a result and another 350 jobs were secured.
Bavaria’s Minister of Economic Affairs, Hubert Aiwanger, praised the agency: “The attractiveness of Bavaria as a business location is high. The Free State is highly regarded worldwide as a centre of innovation and high technology. We have an excellent network of universities, research institutions and companies from all relevant industries. In 2022, Invest in Bavaria again supported numerous company establishments and thereby contributed to Bavaria’s economic success.”
Invest in Bavaria is a sure sign that the Free State will remain a leader in the global competition between regions for high-quality jobs and will continue to expand its position. In 2022, the investment projects supported by Invest in Bavaria originated from a total of 23 countries. Among foreign investors, the USA took the top spot ahead of China and France. The distribution of the projects by region is also encouraging: There were new establishments in all seven administrative districts, and about one fifth of all new jobs are located in rural regions.
