MUNICH / ANSBACH Bavaria's Secretary of State for the Economy, Katja Hessel, is today taking part in the opening ceremony for the Joris Ide Group's new production facility in Ansbach. The Belgian company produces steel products for the construction industry in the Brodswinden district of Ansbach. "I am delighted that the Joris Ide Group has got its production in Ansbach off to an official start today. In Middle Franconia, the company has found a location with ideal conditions for expanding its business activities: specialist staff with outstanding educational backgrounds, an innovation-friendly environment and a high-performing infrastructure," declares Hessel. With an investment volume of EUR 25 million, the Joris Ide project is one of the most significant new investments for the region. It currently employs 35 specialist staff, and the plan is to increase this number to 130 full time staff by early 2015.
The Joris Ide Group intends to use Ansbach as a base for working the Central European market more intensively. "Our new site in Ansbach puts us in a position to be able to react quickly and flexibly to individual customer requirements; flexibility is of the essence here. Cooperative partnership with our customers allows us to achieve top results," explains Raymund Trost, CEO of the Joris Ide Group.
The Joris Ide Group is based in Zwevezele, Belgium. Its new German headquarters in Ansbach are the eighteenth production facility in eight countries (Belgium, Germany, Croatia, the Netherlands, France, Romania, Russia and Hungary). With around 1,000 staff, the Joris Ide Group is an established manufacturer of steel products for the construction business and a supplier to industry, agriculture and home construction.
