NUREMBERG Initially limited to the end of 2014, the Northern Bavaria office of Invest in Bavaria, the Business Promotion Agency of the State of Bavaria, will now continue to operate on a permanent basis. The decision was made today during the Bavarian cabinet's meeting. At the cabinet meeting, Bavaria's Minister of Economic Affairs, Ilse Aigner, presented the evaluation report on the work of Invest in Bavaria's Nuremberg branch undertaken so far. The evaluation report verifies that the Northern Bavaria office has carried out some very successful work in its first year in business. This analysis is based on the assessments of the Northern Bavarian business promotion agencies, district administrators and mayors, as well as the chambers of industry, governments and other institutions.
Bavaria's Minister of Economic Affairs, Ilse Aigner, emphasises: "The Northern Bavaria office has allowed us to strengthen our regional presence in Franconia and the Upper Palatinate, in order to increase business settlement opportunities for rural areas in particular. The continuation of the successful work of Invest in Bavaria's branch, decided today by the cabinet, is a positive signal for Northern Bavaria as an economic area."
Opened on 1st April 2013, the Nuremberg branch of Invest in Bavaria has two members of staff. As permanent contacts for the Northern Bavarian regions, they are active in all settlement-related matters and are available locally at short notice at any time.
