Chinese automotive supplier Mingxin Leather establishes a branch in Munich

Wolfgang Hübschle calls it: A valuable addition to Bavaria's economy from the province of Zhejiang

Munich: Mingxin Leather, one of the market leaders for automotive leather interiors in China, has opened an office in Munich in May 2015. Mingxin plans to use the Bavarian capital as a base for expanding its business activities in Germany and providing local client-orientated services. In the medium term, the new location will also be expanded for research and development activities. The company's core business entails leather processing and interior components.

Dr. Wolfgang Hübschle, Head of Invest in Bavaria, the Business Promotion Agency of the State of Bavaria, bids the company a warm welcome: “This decision once again underlines Bavaria's appeal as a location for automotive suppliers from the Far East who are seeking to work on new products together with German customers. I want to congratulate Mingxing Leather on taking this step and wish them every success in their business activities in Germany.“

Mr. Junxin Zhuang, Managing Director of Mingxin Leather, explains the reason for choosing this location: “Mingxin Leather works together with premium German customers from the automotive industry. That's why we also need a premium location, and we have managed to find it in Bavaria. Bavaria is home to highly-qualified and motivated workers who boast experience in the automotive industry and the region also comprises an excellent research landscape. Because of the first-rate infrastructure, we can also use our base in Munich to expand our business throughout Europe in the best way possible.“

The parent company, Zhejiang Mingxin Xuteng Leather Industry Co., Ltd. , was founded in the southern Chinese city of Jiaxing in the province of Zhejiang in 1994. Today, the company employs more than 300 people and holds a leading position on the Chinese market as a supplier of leather products for premium carmakers.
