Under the heading "ICT as an Enabler for Smart City Development: Perspectives from Germany and China", the conference will look at the development of smart cities in China and Germany. China has made smart cities a high development priority and launched numerous initiatives, not only in metropolises like Beijing and Shanghai, but also in newer urban centres such as Wuxi and Ningbo. ICT plays a central role in this.
 
The event is being held at the Haus der Bayerischen Wirtschaft in Munich.
