Particle foams offer huge potential for future lightweight construction due to their great design and geometrical freedom, reduced density and specific mechanical properties. As a result of this property profile, particle foams are being used in a wide range of applications – particularly in the automotive industry alongside the packaging sector and the sports and leisure sector.

The aim of NMB TechDays 2018 is to present the current trends and developments in particle foam technology. The whole process chain is being presented and discussed from the development of innovative, temperature-resistant particle foams to their efficient processing methods and applications that are ready for production and appropriate for the material.

The TechShow presents state-of-the-art plant engineering solutions for processing particle foams in Neue Materialien Bayreuth GmbH’s technical centre. You get an insight into the processing of technical particle foams using innovative tool concepts, the customised coating of current raw material types and pre-expanding particle foams without steam using infrared radiation.

The organisation of the successful “NMB TechDays” for the second time provides a platform for particle foam experts from research and industry to get valuable suggestions for innovative product ideas.
