3rd German-Turkish Business Days
Invest in Bavaria will have a booth at the event and provide information on opportunities to support Turkish companies and on Bavaria as a business location.
With 207,000 Turkish people (Dec. 2012), Bavaria is the state with the second largest Turkish population after North Rhine-Westphalia. Correspondingly, the community of entrepreneurs of Turkish descent in Bavaria is highly dynamic: Estimations from the German-Turkish Trade Association have shown that there are about 12,000 companies in Bavaria led by owners of Turkish descent, including micro enterprises in the field of catering, food and trades. According to information from the Bavarian Chambers of Commerce, management consultants, pharmacists, lawyers, engineers and medical specialists of Turkish background can increasingly be found among Bavarian companies today. There were even some direct investments in the past few years of Turkish companies who established their presence in Bavaria by settlement or by acquiring an existing company.
From the point of view of the Bavarian State Ministry of Economic Affairs, Infrastructure, Transport and Technology, Turkish companies and companies owned by people of Turkish descent make up an important part of Bavaria's economy.
