Workshop "Expanding your Business to Germany" for Polish ICT companies in Warsaw

What is the connection between Poland and Bavaria ? No, not only Robert Lewandowski and Bayern Munich ! Both Poland and Bavaria have made their way from an agricultural country to a high-tech country. Poland has become one of the top 20 countries in the ICT sector. The Bavarian capital was named as Europe's top centre in the ICT sector in a study conducted by the European Commission. Our strategic considerations actively consider such developments. That's how the idea of offering an exclusive workshop in Warsaw to Polish ICT companies, under the motto "Expanding your business to Germany", was born as part of the Bavarian delegation trip led by Bavarian's Vice-Minister for Economic Affairs Franz Josef Pschierer.

The market entry strategy and business development tools, legal forms and tax burdens on companies in Germany, Bavaria's digitalisation offensive and Industry 4.0 are only some of the topics that were discussed actively during the workshop. The interest on the part of the Polish participants was enormous. In order to create more open spaces for discussion and exchange, we invited our guests to the Bavarian Reception at the German Embassy in Warsaw. In a relaxed atmosphere featuring Bavarian beer and Polish pirozhki, the companies could establish contacts to Bavarian decision-makers from politics and business and talk about potential cooperations.

Photos of the workshop and the reception can be viewed in our media library.

Background information
At present, more than 60 Polish companies operate in Bavaria. Many of them are from the ICT sector. Here, the Polish software manufacturer Comarch plays an important role. Comarch became the main shareholder of SoftM Software und Beratung AG in Munich in 2008, and has operated under the name Comarch Software und Beratung AG since 2010. The Polish development service provider for professional software solutions, REC Global, also has a sales office in Bavaria. And Invest in Bavaria welcomes every new addition. We are delighted to welcome the companies we met on 9th July2015 in Warsaw to Bavaria. Tailored support is guaranteed.
