Stay fresh longer with refrigeration - Petit Forestier expands its network in Germany
With more than 220 locations in France, Europe, the Maghreb and now at home in Bavaria, the market leader in Europe in the leasing of refrigerated vehicles, furnishings and containers opened another branch in Kirchheim near Munich, thus joining Cologne and Leipzig.
The French owner-managed company decided on Bavaria for a variety of reasons:
first off, it was a logical step to integrate the southern German economic hub of Munich into the German and central European network Petit Forestier, thereby being closer to customers. As for customers: Bavaria has long been the number 1 holiday and travel destination in Germany with countless visitors. But what does that have to do with a company that leases refrigeration technology solutions? The answer is simple: The many visitors want to enjoy the culinary delights and so there is a tremendous need for transporting perishable goods in refrigerated vehicles in order to preserve their taste and freshness. This is where Petit Forestier comes in – they offer refrigerated vehicles in various sizes for short and long-term leasing, and Bavaria is, after all, an outstanding springboard for tapping markets in neighbouring countries such as the Czech Republic, Switzerland and Austria.
In choosing a location, Kirchheim in the eastern part of Munich was most impressive. It offers many advantages: for Petit Forestier, the proximity to the motorway ring, Munich trade fair grounds and the outstanding connection to wholesale markets and slaughterhouses were decisive. And ultimately, luck was on our side: following an intensive search, a suitable commercial property was found, and the contract was signed – to our great delight.
As a family business with a history going back over 100 years, Petit Forestier fits in ideally with the Bavarian business landscape and culture. We wish the employees on site great success and joy in developing and expanding their business activities in Bavaria!
P.S.: Did you know that Petit Forestier International celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2016? The first branch outside of France was opened in 1996 (in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg) – an important milestone for the international success of Petit Forestier.
