Prognos Zukunftsatlas 2013: Bavaria top of the rankings
The PROGNOS Zukunftsatlas 2013 puts many of Bavaria's regions at the top of the list when it comes to location strength and dynamism.
The Berlin-based research institute PROGNOS investigated the future prospects of all 402 rural and urban districts, and the rural district of Munich came out on top. Many rural districts in the urban regions of Nuremberg and Munich offer high or very high future prospects, as do towns such as Aschaffenburg and Würzburg. Comparing the results to those of 2010, it is very pleasing to see that the map of Bavaria now contains hardly any areas classed as less dynamic. Overall, eleven of the 20 strongest towns/rural districts are in Bavaria, including six in the top ten (city and rural district of Munich, Erlangen, Ingolstadt, Regensburg and the rural district of Starnberg). The rural district of Bad Kissingen is one of the top climbers with regard to long-term prospects.
