Nuremberg – Future under Construction 2014

Right on time for the MIPIM international property fair in Cannes, 11th-14th March 2014, the City of Nuremberg is presenting the latest edition of the "Nuremberg – Future under Construction 2014" brochure.

Nuremberg – the second-largest city in Bavaria and the centre of the European metropolitan region of Nuremberg – is positioning itself as a location with excellent technology and research expertise and modern services, attracting more and more companies. At the same time, Nuremberg is also a very popular place to live, with a high quality of life and efficient infrastructure. The growing population is proof of this. Maintaining and creating premium city-centre commercial locations, attractive residential areas, mixed-usage areas and an efficient infrastructure – and achieving all this despite the city's high density and limited quantity of available space – are presenting a real challenge to those responsible for urban construction and development.

The quality and variety of the construction projects presented under the heading "Nuremberg – Future under Construction 2014" just go to show that the City of Nuremberg is facing up to this challenge with integrated and strategic urban development planning.

21 current projects are presented in a concise and informative way, ranging from commercial construction to the development of attractive residential areas and even infrastructure projects. This includes the new construction of the easyCredit headquarters of TeamBank AG in a key urban development location. Completion of the project is planned for late 2014, providing space for the over 600 staff employed at the Nuremberg site on an area of around 15,000 m². Further projects include the new construction of the DATEV IT-Campus 111, the Campus Marienberg business park close to the airport, the pier for ferry transport, and even the development of a whole new area of the city on the former site of the Tucher brewery, with over 600 homes.

With these projects to show for itself, the City of Nuremberg will be able to commend itself at the trade fair in Cannes not only as a top-class location for investors, but also as an outstanding city to live in.
At MIPIM, the City and European metropolitan region of Nuremberg will be exhibiting at the joint booth, the 'German Pavilion' in the Espace Riviera hall, booth R33 03/19.
