I feel Bolly Good

This was the motto of the launch party for Zee.One from Asia TV GmbH (Zee TV) – Germany's first Bollywood television broadcaster – on 28th July 2016.

Broadcasting Bollywood films 24/7, the channel is of course mainly aimed at women, but there are sure to be some male fans, too.

Bollywood start Shah Rukh Khan and the Indian Ambassador Singh attended the launch party

Shah Rukh Khan, the broadcaster's ambassador and one of India's most successful actors, was flown directly to Munich to support the launch event and to represent the Bollywood sector. Because of his close connection to Zee TV and Germany, he had not hesitated in taking on the role of brand ambassador.

The event was held in the roof garden of Bayerischer Hof, in typically colourful Indian style. Amongst the guests were personalities from a variety of industries, including Indian Ambassador Singh, who came directly from Berlin, German actors from various genres and representatives of many media.

Bavaria is an attractive location for foreign media companies

Invest in Bavaria was delighted to be invited to the event too, as the launch was an exciting opportunity for Bavaria as an attractive and diverse media location whose strength lies in its good position in all media categories. The launch of Zee.One is yet more proof of Bavaria's ability to attract foreign providers and increases the variety on offer. In addition, it strengthens and expands the long-standing relationship between Bavaria and India in this sector.

My personal highlight of the evening was meeting Shah Rukh Khan, taking a photo together and welcoming him with our gingerbread heart on behalf of the State of Bavaria.
