Happy New Year Bavarian Style

Wherever New Year celebrations take place here, either in a hearty Bavarian style, with an exotic or very elegant touch; whether with a classical music concert, a light-hearted revue, dancing to hot rhythms or listening to booming techno beats – there is something for everyone. Of course, you can visit friends and enjoy a traditional “Feuerzangenbowle” (fire-tongs punch), fondue or watch Dinner for One. And for those who would rather enjoy a night out, here are a few suggestions...

Classical music: New Year's Eve Concert 2014/2015 in the Kaisersaal (Emperor's Hall) at the Residenz in Munich
The Renaissance Hall has served as a venue for festive music since the 17th century. Works by Vivaldi, Mozart, Johann Strauß and Rossini will be performed. A Champagne reception is included.

Extravagant: Celebrate New Year's Eve at BMW Welt
This architectural highlight will be the venue for a fantastic end-of-year event for the fifth time. Culinary delicacies prepared by Feinkost Käfer, the Radio Gong 96.3 New ear's party in the auditorium and the New Year's Eve Live Club in the Double Cone will make “bringing in the New Year” a memorable event.

A heated tent set up in the external grounds of the Oberhaus restaurant, with seating for over 1,000 guests, a 30-metre-long bar, party zone and cool down area...

And those who want to make a sporty start to the new year might want to participate in the New Year's run in the English Garden. It commences at noon in the Hofgarten (entrance at Odeonsplatz, near the “Tambosi”)...
