From strengths to strategy...

For the second time, Invest in Bavaria organised a workshop for Bavarian business promoters on “Approaching investors successfully: From strengths to strategy”. The meeting took place in Regensburg, the capital of Upper Palatinate.

Over two days, 15 participants discussed issues relating to the topic of how best to position and market their business location. Speakers from imakomm AKADEMIE GmbH presented suitable instruments and methods for this. The first day of the workshop focused on discussing the fundamental strategic decision of whether to specialise or generalise, as well as how targets can be derived from regional potential and how projects can be designed successfully. On the second day, the focus was on developing marketing and communication concepts. For example, the participants worked in teams to develop slogans for selected locations, taking into account the concepts of a credible, unmistakeable and memorable brand identity. By the end, everyone agreed that sculpting one's own brand identity is not an easy task and that it is important to think outside the box. The discussions gave all the participants plenty of new ideas and suggestions for their work in future.

 

Invest in Bavaria holds these business promoter workshops in order to prepare Bavaria and its individual regions even better for the international competition between business locations. The format allows Invest in Bavaria to continue its intensive dialogue with regional business promotion agencies.

 

In autumn, the format will be resumed with a new topic in Lower Franconia. Representatives from Bavarian business promotion agencies will be informed in good time.
