ESA Business Incubation Centre Bavaria - Start-up? Start here!

Apply by 29th August 2016 at the ESA Business Incubation Centre Bavaria and receive EUR 50,000 in funding!

The Business Incubation Centre Bavaria of the European Space Agency (ESA) supports entrepreneurs with innovative ideas for using space technologies in other business sectors in Bavaria at the locations of Oberpfaffenhofen, Nuremberg, Berchtesgadener Land and Ottobrunn. It's not all about rocket science though! The transfer of technologies and applications originally developed for aerospace is supported with EUR 50,000 and additional support. This means that satellite navigation, robotics or mechatronics are integrated in products from sectors such as automotive, sports or location-based services.

Since 2009, the ESA BIC Bavaria is operated by the Anwendungszentrum Oberpfaffenhofen and is part of a European start-up program, which is coordinated by ESA's Technology Transfer Programme (TTP). The ESA and the State of Bavaria provide financial support. Depending on their location, the young entrepreneurs receive technical and business support from institutes such as the German Aerospace Centre or the Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits. In addition, it is possible to receive a loan from a regional Sparkasse (savings bank). The entrepreneurs also benefit from individual coaching services and networking activities.
