Czech-Bavarian Get-Together

On 3rd December 2015, Invest in Bavaria and the Chamber of Industry and Commerce Regensburg for Upper Palatinate/Kelheim, the Chamber of Industry and Commerce for Lower Bavaria in Passau and the Chamber of Industry and Commerce for Upper Franconia Bayreuth organised a networking event at the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen.

Almost 80 companies and research facilities from Bavaria and the Czech Republic took part in the networking event during which they enjoyed a very diverse programme. During a tour through the university, the participants were able to get an idea of the university's main research focusses and the technology transfer in the Czech Republic. Afterwards, representatives from Invest in Bavaria, the chambers and the companies discussed all issue related the topic “Border region Bavaria-Czech Republic – a future location!” The closing Speed Business Meeting provided all participants the opportunity to exchange ideas during five-minute discussions and establish initial contacts with potential business partners and customers.

It became clear that the cooperation between the border regions should be strengthened further. Examples include networking companies on both sides, intensifying the Bavarian-Czech technology transfer and using existing promotional instruments such as INTERREG. Invest in Bavaria and its partners are happy to provide support.
