BlockShow 2017: Blockchain Revolution Goes to Europe

The Blockchain technology is currently becoming more and more popular all over the world, and today, we all have the unique opportunity to witness how “the biggest innovation after the Internet itself” is being implemented - both within and outside the financial sector - at a growing pace.

This process goes hand in hand with a massive informational support as well as with the popularization of the Blockchain technology across all industries. This kind of popularization is the major mission of CoinTelegraph, the popular Bitcoin & Blockchain media outlet. Wishing to further contribute to the universal recognition of the Blockchain technology, the CoinTelegraph team sets out to organize a number of Blockchain events. The first one, the Helsinki Blockchain Conference 2016, took place in August last year and managed to attract massive attention from the Blockchain community in Scandinavia.

Inspired by this successful debut, CoinTelegraph presents the BlockShow Europe 2017 in April this year in Munich, which, according to the organizers, promises to be the largest European platform for showcasing established Blockchain solutions. The BlockShow Europe 2017 program is designed to provide every participant with a comprehensive outlook on the current state of the Blockchain industry as well as on its latest developments.

At Invest in Bavaria, we are very proud that Coin Telegraph decided to host the event in Munich. The more so, since the BlockShow Europe 2017 will perfectly fit into the bigger picture of the growing FinTech and InsurTech scene in the Bavarian capital, led by promising initiatives such as the WERK1 InsurTech accelerator program, which was launched last year. But this is not the only reason why Munich is the perfect location for such a conference. Due to its large amount of international corporations from many different industries, Munich offers a perfect stage to present the benefits of the Blockchain technology to a most diverse audience, which is eager to adapt the technology to their respective business models.

The conference will provide visitors with the opportunity to get the most recent information about technological, legal, and investment related topics in regard to the current Blockchain ecosystem at first hand. Key industry players as well as some of the most influential Blockchain personalities will provide a detailed insight into how Blockchain is being implemented in different parts of the world and what significant impact it already had on the global market. Thus, the BlockShow Europe 2017 will include talks and panel discussions on such topics as “Overcoming the challenges of Blockchain implementation”, “Tokenization of assets & Security on Blockchain”, “Blockchain from Bank and Enterprise perspective” and many more. As a result, the conference represents a valuable experience for those who - in any way - would like to be part of the ecosystem: by discovering new investment opportunities, by starting their own Blockchain business or by seeking to empower existing products.

As the BlockShow Europe 2017 approaches, CoinTelegraph Events keeps introducing new speakers who will join the conference. Among them are prominent experts and practitioners of the global Blockchain scene, such as Adam Stradling (Bitcoin & Blockchain pioneer, co-founder of Bitcoin.com), Bernd Lapp (Advisor at Ethereum Foundation), Jamie Burke (Founder of Blockchain Angels), Matej Michalko (Founder & CEO at DECENT), Ned Scott (CEO & Co-founder at Steemit), Dang Ngo (Lawyer at Simmons & Simmons), Bruce Pon (CEO & Co-Founder at BigchainDB), Daniel Drummer (Vice President at JP Morgan), Marco Barulli (Co-Founder & Managing Director at Bernstein.io), Mika Lammi (Head of IoT Business Development at Kouvola Innovation Oy), Angel Gonzalez (Executive IT Specialist at IBM), Jack Nikogosian (Head of Coinify Digital Innovation Lab), Alexander Ivanov (Founder and CEO at Waves), Tomasz Mloduchowski (CTO at Zerado) and Paolo Tasca (Executive Director, UCL Centre for Blockchain Technologies).

Furthermore, The CoinTelegraph Events team has recently announced BlockShow's Master of Ceremony - Elizabeth Lumley, Managing Director & Thought Leadership at Rainmaking. Liz Lumley is an internationally recognized reporter, conference speaker and organizer with more than 20 years of involvement in the FinTech space. Apart from that, she is also a regular contributor to Brett King’s Breaking Banks radio show on the VoiceAmerica Business channel.
