Delegation trip Oct 20, 2014

Dutch business delegation in Bavaria

On 15th and 16th October 2014, representatives from around 15 Dutch companies visited the Munich area.

The aim of this delegation, which included a range of industries from the Eindhoven region, was to obtain an impression of southern Germany and to assess the prospects of success of expansion in the region for the businesses concerned.

Invest in Bavaria organised an event at the Ministry of Economic Affairs, presenting both its own services and facts about Bavaria as a location. The presentation was complemented by talks from the Rabobank Group and the Consulate General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Munich.

Rabobank emphasised Bavaria's qualities by reporting on a range of Dutch companies who have already grown successfully in Bavaria. In his presentation on southern Germany, the Consul General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Munich, Peter Alexander Vermeij, stressed the exceptional position of the region, for which he has been responsible since August of this year.

Other events during the visit were also characterised by this “best practice” mindset. The trip concluded with talks with members of the German-Dutch Business Forum (Deutsch-Niederländisches Geschäftsforum e.V.) and representatives of Dutch companies based in Bavaria.
